“Trust no one.”

In 1995, Mary Giordano (Alicia Silverstone) is a bright student at a Catholic school who fills her free hours with mystery novels and detective magazines. When a killer starts targeting teenage girls, she begins her own investigation, which puts her at odds with Detective Jerry Guinn (Bill Nunn). Pat Verducci pairs her with police cadet Tony Campbell (Kevin Dillon), and every clue they find brings Mary closer to the killer's attention.
