True Love

“Michael and Donna are young, in love and engaged. Only one thing could come between them. Marriage.”

Donna (Annabella Sciorra) and Michael (Ron Eldard) are getting married, and first they have to book the reception, rent the tux and buy the rings. Nancy Savoca follows the two of them through those errands while each one quietly starts to doubt the other, Donna over Michael's immaturity and Michael over whether he wants a wife at all. The film treats love and marriage as two separate things, and the wedding itself is the easier part to plan.
