True Romance
“Stealing. Cheating. Killing. Who says romance is dead?”
Detroit, 1986: Clarence Worley (Christian Slater), a comic-book clerk, meets Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette) at a soul-music show and falls hard. When her pimp tries to reclaim her, Clarence kills him and grabs a suitcase of cocaine, thinking they can start fresh in California. Tony Scott sends them down a highway lit by neon and panic, with the mob and the law behind them, and by the end Clarence has seen what love costs him.
