“He'll make you a star if it kills him.”

Howard Holloway (Clark Gregg), a former child star turned struggling talent agent, wants to sign Lydia (Saxon Sharbino), a young Hollywood hopeful who could finally change his luck. Standing in his way are her volatile father, a scheming long-time rival, and a producer and casting director who can't stand him. Gregg, who also directs, sets Howard's one real bond with Marcy (Amanda Peet), the publicist he keeps leaning on.
