“Meet Morgan Hiller. He's a rebel about to become a hero.”

Morgan Hiller (James Spader) moves to a Los Angeles high school with no friends, a stubborn silence about why he left, and a habit of singing when no one's asking. Within days he has crossed Nick Hauser (Paul Mones) over Frankie Croyden (Kim Richards), a disco dancer Nick treats as his own. Fritz Kiersch sets Morgan against a crew that wants him gone, and one wrong move at the wrong party could cost him the school, the girl, and his place in the neighborhood.
