Turtles Can Fly

Soran (Soran Ebrahim), the boy everyone calls Satellite, wants to be the one who knows when the Americans are coming. In a refugee camp near the Turkey-Iraq border, he runs the other children, who collect mines from the fields and sell them for money. Bahman Ghobadi follows them through the weeks before the invasion, with Agrin (Avaz Latif) and her brother Hengov (Hiresh Feysal Rahman) newly arrived and the children's work barely paying for food.
