Twelve O'Clock High

(1949)Directed by Henry King132 minWar, Action, Drama
“A story of twelve men as their women never knew them...”

In the early days of daylight bombing over Germany, one American bomber group has taken so many losses that its men are called a hard luck outfit. Brigadier General Frank Savage (Gregory Peck) is sent to take command, and Henry King follows him as he drills the crews into a disciplined fighting unit while German fighters tear into every mission. The film is about what command costs a man who has to send others up to die.
