Twenty Bucks

“When you pass the buck, the last thing you expect is change.”

A twenty-dollar bill leaves an armored car in an unnamed American city and starts changing hands. Angeline (Linda Hunt) and Sam Mastrewski (Brendan Fraser) are among the people it passes through, as it moves from one transaction and one small incident to the next. Keva Rosenfeld links the strangers only by the money, so what holds each handoff together is the brief, usually unspoken connection between whoever gives the bill and whoever takes it.
