Twin Sisters

Two sisters, six years old, stand at their parent's grave in 1920s Germany, and within days they are taken apart. Lotte (Thekla Reuten) goes to a well-off aunt in Holland, while Anna (Nadja Uhl) is sent to work as a farm hand on their uncle's land. Ben Sombogaart follows both through the war years and into old age, when the two women sit down in the same room again, each carrying a different life.
