Two Drifters

Odete (Ana Cristina Oliveira) wants a child, and after her boyfriend leaves her, that wish takes hold of her completely. Her neighbour Pedro (João Carreira) has just died in a car crash, and his boyfriend Rui (Nuno Gil) is left grieving in the same orbit. João Pedro Rodrigues sets two people in mourning side by side, one for a lover, one for a life she imagines, and neither can say what they have lost.
