Two English Girls

(1971)Directed by François Truffaut130 minDrama, Romance

In the early years of the twentieth century, Claude Roc (Jean-Pierre Léaud) meets Ann Brown (Kika Markham) in Paris, and she invites him to her family's home in Wales, meaning him for her sister Muriel (Stacey Tendeter). Claude falls for Muriel instead, and the two mothers will only approve a marriage after a year of separation. François Truffaut leaves the young pair apart for twelve months, with nothing but letters between them.
