Two for the Seesaw

New York, 1962. Jerry Ryan (Robert Mitchum), a lawyer from Omaha, Nebraska, has left his wife and taken a place in the city, where he studies for the bar exam and waits on his divorce. He meets Gittel Mosca (Shirley MacLaine), a dancer, and the two start a careful courtship. Robert Wise, adapting William Gibson's Broadway play, keeps the film close to the two of them.
