Two O'Clock Courage
A man steps off a curb into the path of a cab and cannot say who he is or where he came from. The driver, Patty Mitchell (Ann Rutherford), takes him in and starts helping Theodore "Step" Allison (Tom Conway) piece together a past he cannot recall. Anthony Mann's film turns on how much anyone can trust a stranger, and Patty is already past the point of keeping her distance.
