Cassie Duquesne (Connie Stevens) has one night to spend inside her late father's house, and a fortune is waiting if she gets through it. Her father was a magician who killed her mother with a guillotine trick on stage, and the house still holds what he left behind. William Conrad follows Cassie and Val Henderson (Dean Jones) through the dark rooms, and she keeps going because she cannot stop wondering whether the place is haunted or only rigged.
