Two Weeks in Another Town
“...only in Rome could this story happen...”
In the early 1960s, Rome is full of Hollywood crews shooting costume dramas, and Jack Andrus (Kirk Douglas) arrives to join one after three years in an asylum. His old director, Maurice Kruger (Edward G. Robinson), has offered him a minor job on the picture, and Jack takes it as a way back. Vincente Minnelli keeps the focus on how long a man will hold onto a past that no longer wants him.
