Tyrel

“When you're the only one”

Tyler (Jason Mitchell) just wants an easy weekend, so he says yes when his friend Johnny (Christopher Abbott) invites him to a birthday party in the Catskills. At the house, Tyler is welcomed warmly by a group of strangers, and he is also the only Black man there, with a lot of drinking ahead. Sebastián Silva keeps the party loud and friendly on the surface, so the weight of Tyler's unease falls on how a person decides to stay.
