U.S. Palmese

Don Vincenzo (Rocco Papaleo), a retired soccer player turned small-town barber, takes over his local club's flagging team when nobody else will. He recruits an unlikely squad of misfits, including a French drifter named Étienne (Blaise Afonso), and sets them loose on the pitch with nothing to lose. The Manetti brothers shoot their town with such affection that even the stumbling passes feel like belonging.
