Udta Punjab

“Drugs di maa di.”

Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor) is a rockstar whose songs the youth of Punjab play on loop, and whose own habits are no secret to anyone. Abhishek Chaubey braids his story with three others: a policeman, a doctor, and a migrant worker. In Sartaj Singh (Diljit Dosanjh) and Preet Sahani (Kareena Kapoor Khan), the film sets a cop and a doctor who each see the drug trade up close, and who start working toward the same answer.
