UHF

(1989)Directed by Jay Levey97 min · PG-13Comedy
“A lot of TV stations have forgotten what "quality" means, but not Channel 62. They NEVER knew what it meant.”

George Newman ('Weird Al' Yankovic) takes over a failing UHF station in 1989 Oklahoma, where the money is nearly gone and the schedule is empty. Jay Levey films him filling the hours with whatever he can think of, and the station answers back with Stanley Spadowski (Michael Richards). Standing against them is R.J. Fletcher (Kevin McCarthy), a rival with every reason to want the channel gone.
