Umbrella Coup

In France in 1980, Grégoire Lecomte (Pierre Richard) is an actor who works part-time and chases women full-time, and he turns up for a screen test to play a killer. He walks into the wrong room, takes a Mafia boss for a producer, and signs a contract the hitman waiting there was meant to sign. Gérard Oury sends him to a birthday party in Saint-Tropez with an umbrella whose cap hides a syringe of cyanide, and Grégoire carries it like a prop.
