Uncertainty

“The choice is theirs.”

It's July 4th in New York, and Bobby (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Kate (Lynn Collins), a young couple at a crossroads, settle one question by flipping a coin. Scott McGehee and David Siegel then follow both outcomes, one a visit to Brooklyn full of family and loss, the other a pursuit through Manhattan that turns into a nightmare. The film treats one small choice as enough to send two lives in different directions.
