(1983)Directed by Roger Spottiswoode128 min · RDrama, War

“The first casualty of war is the truth.”

Photographer Russell Price (Nick Nolte) goes into Nicaragua in 1979 with two fellow American journalists, Alex Grazier (Gene Hackman) and Claire (Joanna Cassidy), chasing the last days of the Somoza regime. Roger Spottiswoode keeps the three close to the fighting and to one another. Each day in the field puts their lives at risk, and every photograph they take costs them their safety.
