Under the Bridges

Willy (Gustav Knuth) and Hendrik Feldkamp (Carl Raddatz) are two barge skippers who share a boat and a living on the waterways around Berlin. Then they both fall for Anna Altmann (Hannelore Schroth), a young woman they meet on the river. Helmut Käutner shot it in the summer of 1944 and it stayed unseen until 1946, and the friendship between the two men is what the three of them have to steer around.
