Under the Same Moon

“The love between a mother and a son knows no boundaries.”

In 2007, a nine-year-old named Carlitos (Adrian Alonso) lives with his grandmother in Mexico while his mother, Rosario (Kate del Castillo), works illegally in the United States. Patricia Riggen follows the two of them on separate roads, each trying to reach the other. They talk by payphone every Sunday, and the film keeps returning to that short call between a boy and the mother he is trying to find.
