Under the Silver Lake

“What are they hiding?”

The morning after Sam (Andrew Garfield) meets Sarah (Riley Keough) beside his building's pool, she is gone, and he starts driving across Los Angeles to find out why. Set in 2011, David Robert Mitchell's film follows him through parties, strangers and clues that seem to point somewhere. Sam stands in the empty apartment where she lived, an unemployed man with nothing else to look for.
