Undertaking Betty

“Sometimes finding true love can be the death of you.”

In the Welsh town where he runs the family funeral home, Boris Plots (Alfred Molina) has loved Betty Rhys-Jones (Brenda Blethyn) quietly for years. She is married to Hugh (Robert Pugh), a politician, and Boris has the kind of access to her life that lets him devise a way out. Nick Hurran films him standing close to Betty in the hush of the funeral parlour, his hands folded and his eyes on her.
