An earthquake shakes a drilling station seven miles down, and the hull begins to fail around Norah Price (Kristen Stewart) and the crew of researchers who work there. Captain Lucien (Vincent Cassel) leads the survivors on foot along the ocean floor, two miles in heavy suits toward safety. William Eubank keeps the camera tight inside the helmets and the dim corridors, so the dark outside the glass never leaves the frame.
