Yukio (Etsushi Toyokawa) is a writer who works from home, and when he brings back a pair of turtles for his wife Moemi (Tomoko Yamaguchi), she is not pleased. She wanted a dog or a cat, which the apartment doesn't allow, and she already feels he has stopped paying her any attention. Shunji Iwai keeps their rooms quiet, so the marriage shows in what two people living under one roof leave unsaid.
