“A beautiful woman is like a symphony. It can drive you crazy if you think someone else is scoring.”

Claude Eastman (Dudley Moore), a conductor in the middle of a season, becomes convinced that his young wife Daniella (Nastassja Kinski) is sleeping with Maxmillian Stein (Armand Assante), a violinist in his own orchestra. He starts working out how to kill her and make the violinist take the blame. Howard Zieff directs the remake of Preston Sturges's 1948 comedy, with a score by Bill Conti.
