Unhook the Stars

“When prim & proper meets wild & crazy get ready to...”

Mildred (Gena Rowlands) is a widow whose whole life has been looking after other people, and it goes quiet the day her grown daughter moves out. Then her neighbor Monica (Marisa Tomei), a single mother stretched thin by work, asks her to watch her young son J.J. (Jake Lloyd). Nick Cassavetes, directing his own mother, follows Mildred as she pours herself into the boy and struggles to hold anything back for herself.
