“The true story of how the world's most popular team rose from the ashes”

Manchester, August 1956: the youngest side ever to win the Football League is in the making at Manchester United, and the boys are barely out of school. Assistant manager Jimmy Murphy (David Tennant) trains the young striker Bobby Charlton (Jack O'Connell) and the other Busby Babes alongside Matt Busby (Dougray Scott). James Strong builds the film from survivors' and families' accounts, and Jimmy is the man the aftermath leaves standing.
