Martin Harris (Liam Neeson), an American biochemist, wakes from a car accident in Berlin with no memory of how he got there. A taxi driver named Gina (Diane Kruger) pulled him from the wreckage, and now his wife Elizabeth (January Jones) insists she's never seen him before.
