Up

“Change is in the air.”

A house lifts off a quiet street, held up by thousands of helium balloons, with a 78-year-old widower at the controls and an 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell stuck on the porch. Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) is bound for Venezuela, to keep a promise to his late wife. Pete Docter sends them toward Carl's boyhood hero, Charles Muntz (Christopher Plummer), and the film treats a life of waiting for the big adventure as a life that can still change.
