Upstream Color

“You can force your story's shape, but the color will always bloom upstream.”

Kris (Amy Seimetz) loses days of her life and cannot say where they went, and the one other person who seems to share the loss is Jeff (Shane Carruth). Shane Carruth, who also wrote, produced and directed, lets the two circle each other with no clear idea of what is wrong or who they were before. What passes between them is part recognition and part dread, each a stranger to themselves and the only one who understands the other.
