Four explorers pay a local guide, Kris (Max Riemelt), to lead them into the escape tunnels and old fortifications beneath Berlin. When he falls hard and goes still, Denis (Nick Eversman) stays with him while the others climb back toward the street for help. Andy Fetscher puts them in the dark with Armin (Klaus Stiglmeier), a stranger who offers the only way out, and fear makes it easy to follow anyone who sounds sure of the way.
