Us and Them

Lin Jianqing (Jing Boran) is a young man heading home for the Spring Festival, squeezed onto a crowded train, when he ends up sitting next to Fang Xiaoxiao (Zhou Dongyu). They share a rural hometown and then a life in Beijing, where money, family and ambition press on them from every side. Rene Liu, making her directorial debut, follows the two of them across ten years, and what holds them together and pulls them apart is always each other.
