Uttama Villain

Manoranjan (Kamal Haasan) is a Tamil film superstar who learns he has only a few days left to live. He goes to his old mentor, the director Margadarsi (K. Balachander), and asks him to make one more picture: a folk comedy about a man who keeps cheating death. Ramesh Aravind directs, and between the shoot and the clock sits a grown son who has never forgiven his father for being absent.
