Vampire in Brooklyn

Detective Rita Veder (Angela Bassett) is a Brooklyn cop handed a case that makes no sense, a ship found drifting at sea with a hold full of corpses. Then Maximillian (Eddie Murphy), a smooth Caribbean stranger, shows up and sets about charming her, and Eddie Murphy also turns up as a preacher named Pauly and a mobster named Guido, directed by Wes Craven. It's a film where the monster's loneliness gets as much room as the horror.
