“The one name they all fear.”

In Transylvania, in a world of gothic villages and monsters left over from the old Universal pictures, the Valerious family has spent centuries trying to destroy Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh). The Vatican sends Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) to help Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale), the last of her bloodline. Stephen Sommers builds the whole film as a love letter to those 1930s horror cycles, with the family's curse running underneath.
