“All's fair in love & war.”

How does an orphan with no money and no name get into the drawing rooms of the English gentry? Becky Sharp (Reese Witherspoon) means to find out, climbing early 19th century society alongside her friend Amelia Sedley (Romola Garai). Mira Nair adapts Thackeray's novel, and Becky ends up standing among the Marquess of Steyne's (Gabriel Byrne) wealthy circle, a poor girl in a room full of money.
