Varan the Unbelievable

“From a world below, it came to terrorize - to destroy - to revenge!”

Commander James Bradley (Myron Healey) wants to find a cheap way to turn salt water into drinking water, and the work takes him to a remote Japanese island with an unusual salt lake. He joins a combined U.S.-Japanese military team there, and their experiments begin to disturb a prehistoric monster sleeping on the lake bottom. Jerry A. Baerwitz built this American version around the monster footage Ishirō Honda shot for Toho's 1958 film.
