Variola Vera

Dr. Grujić (Rade Šerbedžija) is a young physician in Belgrade who catches a feverish pilgrim's illness before anyone else on the ward does. When the doctors name it as smallpox, a disease thought to be wiped out, the hospital is already sealed with staff and patients inside. Goran Marković follows the quarantine as the case spreads, and what he puts on screen is how quickly people turn on each other once the doors are locked.
