Veronica

“Someone answered your call.”

Verónica (Sandra Escacena) is a teenager in 1991 Madrid who spends her afternoons cooking, dressing and walking her younger siblings to school while their mother works long shifts. After a séance with two classmates at school, she begins to sense that an evil force has followed her home to the apartment. Paco Plaza loosely bases the film on a real Vallecas case, and it comes down to a girl who has no one to hand the fear to.
