“The psychic comedy that's out of its mind.”

Sylvia Pickel (Cyndi Lauper), a medium, and Nick Deezy (Jeff Goldblum), who reads objects by touching them, are test subjects at a psychic research facility in New York when Harry Buscafusco (Peter Falk) offers them $50,000 to find his lost son in South America. Ken Kwapis sends the two oddballs into the Ecuadorian Andes, after the source of psychic energy. What they find up there is each other, and the movie treats that as the real discovery.
