“The untold true story that changed the course of history.”

Dick Cheney (Christian Bale) is the CEO of Halliburton when George W. Bush (Sam Rockwell) picks him as a running mate, and Cheney wants more than the job on paper. Adam McKay follows his rise through the White House, the House and the Pentagon, with Lynne Cheney (Amy Adams) beside him. Bale sits heavy and quiet in the frame, a man in a dark suit, close to the center of power.
