Vicky Cristina Barcelona

“Life is the ultimate work of art.”

A painter in Barcelona walks up to two American friends on their summer holiday and proposes a weekend away, and neither can say exactly why they go. Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson) are drawn to Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem), though his ex-wife María Elena (Penélope Cruz) has not left his life. Woody Allen shot it in Barcelona, Avilés and Oviedo, with a narrator (Christopher Evan Welch) following along.
