Videodrome

(1983)Directed by David Cronenberg88 min · RHorror, Science Fiction, Mystery
“First it controls your mind. Then it destroys your body.”

A pirate signal called Videodrome shows up on a screen in Toronto, a plain room where people are tortured and beaten, and no one can say where it comes from. Max Renn (James Woods) runs a small UHF station that needs a hit, so he puts it on the air, then goes looking for the source when Nicki Brand (Debbie Harry) auditions for the show and doesn't come back. David Cronenberg follows Max as he keeps watching, certain he can look as long as he likes.
