Nick (Eric Jay Beck) wakes in a locked house with a group of strangers, each of them fitted with a device at the base of the skull. The devices collect the chemicals the brain releases in pain, and the doors open only once a set amount has been gathered. Taylor Sheridan, making his directorial debut, keeps the story in the house and on the people trapped inside it.
