Vincent, Francois, Paul and the Others

Three old friends hit a bad stretch at the same time. Paul (Serge Reggiani) cannot write, François (Michel Piccoli) has lost his belief in doctoring, and Vincent (Yves Montand) is heading toward bankruptcy and a collapsing marriage. They still crowd around the same table every Sunday. Claude Sautet films these lunches and arguments with the camera moving between the men, so the room feels crowded and a little too warm.
