Violent Cop

Azuma (Takeshi Kitano) is a detective who wants the job done his way, and his way means fists, threats and no patience for procedure. When a colleague turns up tied to drug dealing and yakuza business, Azuma takes the case on himself and keeps his own counsel. Kitano, directing for the first time, plays him with a flat, blank face, and the city around him stays gray and indifferent.
